Candidate must be able to sail i.e. Comp Crew level. 
For the SAS exam the candidate must have logged at least 200 nautical miles and have 2 night hours on watch and one night entry into candidates home port.

The candidate must have logged at least 200 nautical miles and have 2 night hours on watch logged. This may not be achieved during the course in which case the candidate will be required to obtain this before taking the exam.
